My name is Jolyn Brand, and I am the Founder and President of Brand College Consulting. My passion is helping students find, apply and get accepted to colleges that are a good fit for their interests and abilities. As an Independent Educational Consultant, I use an individualized approach to helping students navigate every aspect of the college search and selection process.
In the first consultation, I begin by helping students understand the factors in their college choice that are most important in determining where they will be the most successful. Then, I guide the students through selecting several colleges, applying and getting accepted.
My goal for each student is to help him or her find schools where he/she can be happy and thrive academically, socially and emotionally. The college search and application process can be both time-consuming and overwhelming unless you have a plan and resources. I reduce the anxiety involved in this process by walking students step-by-step along their path to college.

| College Search and Selection | After reviewing the student’s transcripts, interest inventory, and speaking with the family, I present a detailed report of colleges and universities for the best fit. |
| College Entrance Tests | I help students prepare for the SAT and ACT by selecting appropriate classes or review materials. I can also help with the registration for tests and set up reminders. |
| College Application Assistance | After the initial consultation, I assist the family in selecting several “safety” schools and top picks to start the application process. I manage checklists, deadlines, and requirements. |
| College Financial Aid Assistance | I familiarize parents about the complicated financial aid process. Also, I manage financial aid deadlines and supply a calendar for personal records. |
| College Scholarships Search | A report will be presented with several scholarship opportunities selected personally for the student. |
