AP Scores Available Online

July 8, 2013 By Jolyn Brand

For the first time, AP scores will be available to students online for free.  In the past, students have had to wait through most of July to receive their scores which were only available by paper. CollegeBoard will no longer be sending paperAP scores score reports to homes by mail.

As of July 2013, students will be able to access their scores online through the CollegeBoard. Students must have a CollegeBoard account, as well as their AP number to access their scores online. All scores will be available July 8th, however, the CollegeBoard will have early access to scores beginning Friday, July 5th, based on students’ locations. Students will receive an email from the CollegeBoard informing them if their scores are available early.

In addition to viewing scores online, students now have the ability to send their AP scores electronically to colleges of their choice. The online report will list ALL of your AP scores for the last four years. There is a $15 fee for each report that you request.

Remember, it is NOT necessary to send official AP results to the colleges that you are applying to. Official scores are never required to apply. However, once you have been accepted to, and chosen a college, you will then want to have these scores sent to that college.

Students have the ability to withhold individual scores from colleges, however, that request must be done by June 15th. So, if a junior did NOT indicate a particular college on the score sheet, and they did poorly on one or more exams, they still have the ability to have that score removed BEFORE they send it out to the college of their choice.

If you have questions about which scores to send to the student’s selected college, please contact us here.

Our experience with Jolyn Brand was exceptional. She was very responsive to us and offered valuable guidance throughout the college preparation and application process. My daughter got in to all of the schools in which she applied, even her stretch school. We credit Jolyn with helping us to make sure her resume, application and essays were top notch.

Brand College Consulting was GREAT for our son! We met Ms. Brand when my son was in 7th grade! We saw her for an hour consult yearly to help him select his classes, plus a little algebra tutoring in high school. He was ahead of others course-wise and we were able to get 21 hours dual credit in high school, he made the Dean's List, Phi Theta Kappa, and Natl Society of High School Scholars. We are a family of Texas State Bobcats and it's very competitive now to get in but he did and we are thrilled! I recommend Ms. Brand and her services! My youngest daughter attended tutorial services with Ms. Brand. Due to the exemplary, SAT preparation services, my daughter was accepted into several top colleges including the University of Houston, Texas State, Lamar University, and Sam Houston. As a college student, she received scholarships and has been on the Dean's list every semester. Ms. Brand instilled confidence in my daughter. I will be forever grateful.
