Sixth Annual Nominate HER Awards presented to seven excellent role models
More than 200 friends and well-wishers filled the ballroom of La Colombe d’Or Mansion May 23 to celebrate with the recipients the Sixth Annual Nominate HER Awards.
Sponsored by Houston Woman Magazine, the Nominate HER Awards Program honors excellent role models in seven categories. Proceeds from the event fund college scholarships for local women.
This year’s recipients and their awards include Christine Miles, Broad Shoulders Award; Faye Chin, Community Angel Award; Sallie Griffis Helms, Evolving Eve Award; Mary Kegarise, Gutsy Gal Award; Jolyn Brand, Savvy Sister Award; and Hope Northrup, M.D., Wise Woman Award.

Each of the honorees was introduced at the awards luncheon by the person who nominated her for special recognition and, along with the award sponsor, helped present the glass award.
